The Protect Training

We've all heard the saying 'Prevention is better than cure'. It is easier to prevent a situation occurring than recovering from the consequences of a terrible event. I remember when I was scammed by a company in 2019. This company put themselves out there as a coaching company looking for like-minded people to partner with and change lives. Well they certainly did change my life as I was scammed out of a considerable amount of money! They start first by investing in your 'trust bank'. They win your trust so you don't even realise you have been scammed, until you wake up the next morning and as the Nigerian saying goes, 'your eye don clear'! It took me a long while to recover from this incident, a situation which could have been prevented if I was more diligent in looking out for red flags and other 'tell-tale' signs. In fact this is the first time I have spoken or written publicly about the incident. Recent studies show that the average a...

The Trouble With Pain...

Image
The trouble with Pain is that it blinds you to everything else that is not painful, everything else that is going well, every other blessing that could outweigh the pain. The trouble with Pain is that it takes your attention away from the solution and keeps you focused on it. The trouble with Pain is that it keeps you playing over in your memory ‘what was’ rather than trigger your imagination to ‘what could be’. The trouble with Pain is that it could be crippling, stopping you from walking into your calling and destiny. The trouble with Pain is that it keeps you thinking of the people that hurt you rather than the people that bless you. The trouble with Pain is that it fools you into thinking that it will never go away and that you have to live with the scars and memories throughout your life. Yes, that’s another thing Pain does – it tells you a lot of lies. The trouble with Pain is that it tells these lies so well that you can’t help but believe them! The good thing about Pain though ...

The Emotional Detox website has gone live!  Hello! My name is Emma Emmanuel, the Emotional Detox Coach. A few years ago, following a personal experience, I authored the workbook, ‘Emotional Detox– A Practical 3 Day Process To Healing From Emotional Pain’ (available on Amazon). This workbook helped many on their healing journey, and I saw the need to deliver group and one to one coaching in this area. Using the strategy in the book as a tool, I started the Emotional Detox Program using it to  support and coach people who have experienced some form of emotional pain as a complement to professional medical support.  The Emotional Detox Program uses the Restorative Justice principle of forgiveness combined with a practical process of expressive-vent-writing as a form of catharsis to release negative emotions. The process is completed by destroying the product of the expressive-vent-writing as an action to get the individual to begin to believe that the effect of the traumatic...

Where did the ‘Good’ in ‘Good Morning’ go?

Good morning!    Yes you know my bone    of contention this morning! P lease when you see me in the morning don’t tell me ‘Morning’ because just like you, God has favoured me and allowed me to wake up to see another beautiful day. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is thank Him for blessing me with the gift of another day, so I definitely know its morning.  The blind man knows it’s a new day. His senses are sharp enough to know when a new day has dawned. So please don’t tell him ‘morning’ when you pass him on the street. He knows it’s morning! All we ask for is a simple prayer that the morning goes well. If the morning goes well, chances are that the afternoon will go well too.  And if the afternoon goes well, so will the evening, and this will roll into us having an all round beautiful day because you said a simple prayer for me and the man on the street. You spoke a    blessing with just two words; two words that you said with t...

Is There More To Us Than We Know?

For the time being we address things from the perspective of which we can see, smell, hear, touch and taste and sometimes what we feel in our gut.  There must come a time when we must go beyond our physical senses.  We are so highly developed that there must be more to us than what we sense in the physical.  There must be more than just what we think in our heads to do in the physical.  What if there is a sense in us that is lying dormant because we haven’t used it? Like they say of the human appendix, it’s become redundant from lack of the need to use it. What if we could do and achieve even more if we could crank up the engine of that dormant sense and put it to use?  What if there is really more to us than we know?  Let’s ponder on that for a while and see what we come up with...

Walking Alone

When it comes down to it, we are all walking a solitary journey on earth. It’s a choice if you choose God as a companion.  If your choice is to do it without God, an already solitary journey could become a living nightmare.   Don’t be fooled, no man is your friend except God. All are walking their journey unto themselves with no idea of tomorrow; trusting no man as they go along.  Why seek joy and peace from the wrong source when joy and peace belong to the one True God.  Seek Him, walk the journey with Him trusting no man to give this to you.  Walk the journey with Him, it will make it easier to bear..

The Safe Place

Sometimes you just need a safe place to purge your thoughts. You’re not asking for comments, feedback, compliments, criticism or judgement.  You just want to get what you feel off your chest.  Writing does that for me; but I’ve run out of journals to write in.  There’s the need to empty the good the bad and the maybe not so ugly; it all needs to get out.  I need to get my thoughts out simply because I don’t need them stuck in my head.  This is my therapy and it can be yours too.  Emptying out your thoughts can be very healing. It can also be exhilarating.  What’s on your mind?  Just put pen to paper and let it out. It could help someone..
